Heegee Dalmatians (originally named He-Ge) was founded in 1970 by Geri and Helen
Rosen of Danbury, Connecticut, with the purchase of our first show dog, Zodiac's Midernoch Shady Lady,
"Joy", from Zodiac Kennels, a leading show kennel of that time. Joy was a tightly linebred bitch and grand
daughter of Am/Can/Ber Ch Roadcoach Roadster.

| Joy, who was major pointed, was later bred to CH Thaddan's Beau Brummel, CDX
(Ch Blackpool Bullshott x Ch Crown Jewels Flawless Emerald CD). A handsome male was kept from this
union, He-Ge's Stitch In Time, "Stitches". |

| Stitches was later bred to High Jinks Kismet of
He-Ge, "Kissy", (Ch Pill Pedler's Boatswain x Imperial Star of Blackpool). Kissy became the
2nd foundation bitch for Heegee Kennels, combining the Roadcoach, Blackpool, Crown Jewels and Pill Pedlers
lines. |
Kissy was awarded the Dog World Magazine
Award of Canine Distinction for producing the following four champions in very limited breeding:

CH He-Ge's Devilish Darling, "Deedee"

Heegee Dalmatians have been spotted in the media!
Geri and "Star", Heegee's Head Of the Class, made an appearance on The David Letterman Show.
"Pearl", Ch Heegee's String of Pearls appeared in the Russian version of the Sopranos in 2006.

"Jenny", Ch Heegee's Classic Reflection, and
"Misty", Ch Heegee's Just One More Time, graced the CD album cover of jazz musician Norman
Connors.

| Heegee's Holly Go Lightly (L), "Holly", is the model for the cover of a Paramount
Cards Inc. greeting card under a line called "frisky business".
The front of the card says: "Okay, I'm ready!". And the inside says: "You can light your candles
now! Happy Birthday!". |
